Holi Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm in Sector 39 Under Nidhi Gupta’s Leadership
Ludhiana 04 March : The Holi festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion, and a spirit of brotherhood at the outer premises of Ram Darbar Mandir, Sector 39, under the leadership of Ward No. 19 Councillor Nidhi Gupta and her dedicated team. The event became a symbol of love, harmony, and social unity, with participation from representatives of various political parties, social organizations, religious institutions, and prominent citizens of the city. The program began with devotional singing in praise of Thakur Ji, and following the traditions of Vrindavan, Holi was celebrated with flowers. Special devotional singer Madhavi Sharma and bhajan singer Paras Ladala, specially invited from Vrindavan, filled the atmosphere with spiritual bliss through their melodious performances. All distinguished guests and eminent personalities were honored by presenting them with a copy of the holy Geeta as a mark of respect. Team members Mitesh Jindal and Rohit Maggo shared that, as every year, the Holi festival was organized in a spiritual manner, while Rohit Goyal and Abhishek Gupta stated that by celebrating Holi with flowers instead of chemical colors, a positive and eco-friendly message was conveyed to society.
Councillor Nidhi Gupta, in her address, emphasized that chemical-based colors available in the market today are harmful to health, and at times the youth celebrate the festival irresponsibly, which may cause harm to others. She stated that for the past several years, the team has resolved to celebrate Holi with natural flowers and devotional spirit in the area so that love, peace, and harmony continue to prevail in society. On this occasion, Mr. Raman Kumar also shared his message, saying that Holi is not merely a festival of colors but a celebration that connects hearts, and it should be observed with dignity, restraint, and social responsibility to spread positive energy in society.
The event was graced by Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardip Singh Mundiya, MLA East Daljit Singh Grewal, BJP Punjab Vice President Jatinder Mittal, Congress District President Sanjay Talwar, Aam Aadmi Party Councillors Jaspal Singh Grewal, Lucky Chaudhary, Jaspreet Kaur (Surjit Thekedar), Ashwani Sharma, Simranpreet Kaur (Raju Baba), Pardeep Sharma Gabby, District Media President Puneet Sahni, Labour Board Director Ajay Mittal, BJP Councillors Happy Sherpuriya and Gauravjeet Singh Gora, Akali Councillor Kamal Arora, along with representatives from various political parties. In addition, members of several religious, social, and service organizations and a large number of local residents attended the celebration, creating an atmosphere filled with love and unity. Councillor Nidhi Gupta concluded by expressing her gratitude to all guests and residents and reaffirmed that the Ward 19 team will continue to promote social harmony and cultural traditions in the future.
