“From Meeting to Parting” – Deliberations on Preparations for the Awareness Yatra Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
Chandigarh, 16 Aug- To mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Punjab unit of Janata Dal (United) held an important meeting in Chandigarh regarding the preparations for the Awareness Yatra, which will commence from Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh (Bihar) under the guidance of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Ji, with the support of the Bihar Government and Bihar Tourism.
The meeting was presided over by the Punjab President of the party, S. Malvinder Singh Benipal. He stated that this year’s Nagar Kirtan will be held under the theme “From Meeting to Parting”, symbolizing the sacred message of Guru Sahib’s life and supreme sacrifice. He further shared that the Yatra will begin from Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh (Bihar), where Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the young Gobind Rai Ji had their first meeting, and will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the place of their final meeting.
S. Benipal emphasized that the Punjab unit of Janata Dal (United) is fully committed to making this Yatra a historic success. In this context, today’s meeting reviewed the plans and assigned responsibilities to party leaders and workers.
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Avtar Singh Dhillon (Youth Wing President, Punjab), Vijay Sharma, Manoj Sharma (both Vice Presidents, Punjab), Rahul Ghai (Senior Meet President, Youth Wing Punjab), Bhola Singh (President, Fatehgarh Sahib constituency), Budh Singh (Majha Zone Incharge), Vijay Kumar, Parminder Singh, Karandeep Singh Kaka, and Sanjeev Kumar Jha (Office Incharge, Chandigarh) along with several other party members.
